You render me a captive in my own mind, your gentle breath still lingering in my ear and your touch still causing my stomach’s hair to rise, as a mild wind sweeps across my body, caressing me. The sun shines your amber eyes as it rises into the morning sky. Beginning another day in which those eyes, gazing at me with intensity, will haunt my every moment. Bitter coldness engulfs all attempts to be joyful, like vast cold stone. It never ends, emptiness, yet you are so beautiful. Why must such beauty seem so empty?
